Position: Security Consultant

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the branch sales profitability through exceeding the individual sales booking plan, while paying attention to the annual service, lease and direct sales.
  • Develops and maintains an active lead generation plan within the assigned territory through the use of cold calling, referrals, contact with local builders, and direct mailing.
  • Plans and presents effective sales presentations to prospective customer.
  • Conducts job surveys specifying the type of systems required, provides a cost proposal and layout to be used as a basis for the contract.
  • Develops an effective job schedule for each installation to include cost control; and coordination of subcontracting, Engineering, Sales and the customer.
  • Follows-up after completion of the installation to make certain that the system is working properly, to explain its operation to the customer, and maintain a rapport that will result in continual referrals.
  • Exhibits a thorough knowledge of all pricing procedures and strategies to ensure that contract estimates are accurate and will deliver the expected return.
  • Operates within the general policies and procedures of our local office; guided by generally accepted alarm industry practices, local ordinances, and U.L. requirements.
  • Responsible for planning, forecasting and monitoring all subcontracting costs. Implements corrective actions to ensure costs are consistent with branch financial plans. Responsible for negotiating subcontract agreements as required, and serves as primary contact.

  • Understanding of systems design and application, pricing, lead generation, and time management
  • Must hold 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekend hours as needed.

  • Bachelors degree preferred (Business, Mechanical or Electrical)

Position: Security Installation Technician

 

Sonitrol of Indianapolis is seeking an Installation Technician with experience in installation, service and preventive maintenance on commercial security products including CCTV systems or equivalent work related experience in the voice/data/service or security industry.


Routine duties include:

  • Installation of security CCTV systems in accordance with company and code standards. 
  • Verifying security/CCTV systems functioning by testing, identifying and correcting problems.
  • Maintaining customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions and building long-term relationships.
  • Maintaining safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keeping security information confidential.

 

Required and Preferred Skills

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license.
  • A clean criminal background and motor vehicle record.
  • First year will require both day and night shift work.
  • Experience with CCTV installation and DVR programming; NVR/Server, IP and megapixel cameras.
  • Positive can do attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented, personable, time management skills, and well organized.
  • Superior customer service skills.

Position: Alarm Dispatcher & Customer Service

 

Sonitrol of Indianapolis is currently looking for Alarm Dispatcher/Customer Service candidates for our local Indianapolis Franchise Central Station. Our central station operates (3) shifts seven days per week: (8am-4pm), (4pm-12am) and (12am-8am). All positions are full time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in our 24-Hour Alarm monitoring facility to process incoming alarm signals via computer.
  • Answer all incoming customer calls while providing excellent customer service to each caller using professional telephone etiquette.
  • We operate 24/7 and run three shifts 7 days a week, so flexibility is paramount.
  • Successful candidate MUST be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Use our proprietary Sonitrol windows based software programs to Monitor incoming alarm signals. This will typically include telephone calls to customers, police & fire authorities.
  • Document all calls made in response to alarms and create reports anytime a call is made to a police or fire department.
  • Create service tickets when requested by customer or in response to a received signal from an alarm system.
  • Process and respond to customer emails using Microsoft Outlook, telephone requests and requests sent via facsimile.
  • Great work ethic, positive attitude, and maintaining a strong attendance record are a must.
  • Submit to Pre-employment drug testing and post-hire random drug testing.
  • Other duties as assigned


Applicant must have a HS Diploma or equivalent, a clean background check, reliable transportation, and be available to work rotating weekends and holidays. (Typing proficiency or experience handling multiple lines of incoming telephone calls is helpful).

 

THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION, Starting pay is $10.00/Hour. We provide all necessary training. This position's compensation package includes 401K, medical w/dental options, life insurance, vacation time, and paid holidays. We are also proud to provide a drug-free workplace.
